History

It was formed in the late December 2009.  Krumpin 4 Success has serviced over 400 youth and families to date.

This organization was designed to give youth an opportunity for creative expression, business skills, social skills and a positive outlet. Our demographic groups include troubled youth, juveniles under supervision with DJJ, and priority to youth within the designated zip codes of 32208, 32209, 32205.  K4S provides resources on a weekly basis for youth, supportive services, job skills training, youth mentoring, after-school programming, entrepreneurship, career trades and guidance. Daily operation that result in greater understanding of personal, social, and economic skills relative to effective growth of families in the targeted communities.

Krumpin 4 Success has created strategies that are culturally sensitive to those youth in our target population.  Many of these youth experience many hardships daily due to peer pressure, lack of parental guidance, community involvement, financial stability and/or limited positive alternatives. We must start, today, showing a greater interest in the lives of our youth and young adults.  As the saying goes, “it takes a village to raise a child”.

We focus on four areas that assist in providing resources and opportunities for these youth and their families to succeed.  As our mission states:  we promote academic

success, financial stability, economic sufficiency and mental health.  We are providing afterschool and family engagement activities to have better outcomes in each of these areas.  We have created individual service plans and needs assessments for our target population so that we are able to address needs because they are all different and have different circumstances even if they live in the same target area.

Our program is designed to give youth a head start on their careers by teaching them how to identify, access, utilize, and leverage resources, and by providing them with access and exposure to leaders in the city of each facility both corporate and government. Many of these youth would not have these opportunities if their community.  We allow youth to experience and potentially parent the powerful combination of great ideas and great business sense with skills given through various career channels in our program.

Our CEO, Dr. Shanna M. Carter has over 20 years of experience working with at-risk youth and those in the juvenile justice and foster care system.  She has managed Krumpin 4 Success, as the Founder/CEO since 2010.  Krumpin 4 Success has provided afterschool and summer camps programs since 2015 in which our CEO supervised all staff.
